When muscles are isolated, the muscles are restrained. Since your body
works well with full body workouts and all your muscles are being worked, one
should include in their physical training process, a full body workout.
Walking works all the muscles in the body, yet walking alone is not
enough to build all muscles in your frame. If you are losing weight or toning
the arms, you will need to include exercises that will tone, reduce fat and
work the arms. If you are trying to lose weight or tone other areas of the
body, you will need to include workouts that will help with those areas.
Walking is an aerobic exercise that builds your legs, thighs, ankles, stomach
and hips, just to name a few. If you are walking with your arms stretched out,
swinging them back and forth as you go, you will be able to tone the arms and
reduce the fat.
It is important that you include balance exercise into your daily
routine. For example, standing on one foot and then the other foot is a form of
balancing exercise. You may want to read different materials to get an idea of
the types of balancing exercises that are often used.
